At Aunty Jane, we believe in making abortion care as accessible and transparent as possible. While we are a private service and our consultation fees cannot be claimed through private health insurance, you may be eligible to claim a portion of your medication costs. Below, we break down the payment structure and what you may be able to claim.
Payment Breakdown
The cost of our service is spread over three payments:
✔ Payment 1: $100 – Payable before your first clinical consultation (not claimable)
✔ Payment 2: $251.03 – Payable before your second clinical consultation (not claimable)
✔ Payment 3: $424.97 – Payable directly to our collaborating pharmacy after your second consultation (may be claimable).
What Can Be Claimed?
As Aunty Jane is a private service, only medication costs may be covered by your private health insurance. This means that Payment 3—the amount paid directly to the pharmacy—could be eligible for a claim, depending on your insurance provider and level of cover.
How to Claim Your Medication Cost
To make a claim, you will need to:
1️⃣ Pay Payment 3 ($424.97) directly to the pharmacy.
2️⃣ Receive an official pharmacy receipt from us after your payment.
3️⃣ Submit the pharmacy receipt to your private health insurer for reimbursement (subject to your policy coverage).
Important Notes
- Consultation fees (Payments 1 & 2) cannot be claimed. These fees cover your clinical care and are not eligible for private health insurance reimbursement.
- Eligibility depends on your health insurance policy. We recommend checking with your insurer in advance to confirm whether medication costs for medical abortion are covered.
- We are here to help! If you need assistance with your pharmacy receipt or have questions about the claiming process, feel free to reach out to our team.
By understanding your payment options and insurance eligibility, we hope to make this process as smooth and stress-free as possible. If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
